GRIEVANCE (ESOS)

To All UTES members.

All the 3 unions i.e. NUTE, UTES & SUTE collectively has rejected the way ESOS was allocated to the non-executive which are 2 lots and 3 lots respectively. The Unions protested against the quantum of allocations though the management says it was fair.

Most of us have submitted the 'Borang Penerimaan Saham Esos' under protest. We would like to urge all members to also submit the Grievance form in complying to Article 21 of TM-UTES CA7 and copy to the Union through the Branch Officials soonest. The complaint to be written in the form are as follows:-

"I protest against the allocation of shares which is .......... lots because my length of service was not taken into account. I protest and I am not satisfied."

Members prompt action is highly appreciated.

President

CEO TM dipercayai mendapat ratusan lot ESOS - NUTE
Salmiyah Harun dan Roy Rasul Wed Mar 19, 08 3:24:49 pm MYT

___________________________________________________

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 Mac (Hrkh) - Kesatuan Kebangsaan Pekerja-Pekerja Telekomunikasi Malaysia (NUTE) mendakwa CEO TM, Dato' Abdul Wahid Omar memperolehi ratusan lot daripada saham Tawaran Skim Opsyen Saham Kakitangan (ESOS) walaupun beliau dikatakan baru empat tahun memegang jawatan sebagai CEO di Telekom. -->-->

- mns

The Story of the "Boat Race"....what an irony

The American and the Japanese decided to engage in a competitive boat race. Both teams practiced hard and long to reach their peak performance. On the big day they felt ready. The Japanese won by a mile. Afterward, the American team was discouraged by the loss. Morale sagged.

Corporate management decided that the reason for the crushing defeat had to be found, so a consulting firm was hired to investigate the problem and recommended corrective action. The consultant's finding: The Japanese team had eight people rowing and one person steering; the American team had one person rowing and eight people steering.

After a year of study and millions spent analyzing the problem, the consultant firm concluded that too many people were steering and not enough were rowing on the American team.

So as race day neared the following year, the American team's management structure was completely reorganized. The new structure: Four steering managers, three area steering managers and a new performance review system for the person rowing the boat to provide work incentive.

The next year the Japanese won by two miles. Humiliated, the American Corporation laid off the rower for poor performance and gave the managers a bonus for discovering the problem.

PICTURE HUMOR!!!!

SOLIDARITY FOREVER (Lyrics)

1) When the Union's inspiration through the workers' blood shall run,
There can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun.
Yet what force on Earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
But the Union makes us strong.

Chorus:
Solidarity forever,Solidarity forever,Solidarity forever,

For the Union makes us strong!

2) They have taken untold millions that they never toiled to earn,
But without our brain and muscle not a single wheel could turn.
We shall break their haughty power, gain our freedom when we learn,
That the Union makes us strong!

Chorus:
Solidarity forever,Solidarity forever,Solidarity forever,

For the Union makes us strong!

3) In our hands is placed a power greater than their hoarded gold,
Greater than the might of armies magnified a thousand-fold.
We can bring to birth a new world from the ashes of the old,
For the Union makes us strong!

Chorus:
Solidarity forever,Solidarity forever,Solidarity forever,
For the Union makes us strong!
